It's been ages since I have shown a children's room. I don't know why when there are just so many totally cool children's rooms out there! Look at this lovely bedroom belonging to Olivia Ellen in Copenhagen for example. It's fab!

Bold patterns and colours in a Malmö apartment

This wonderful apartment is currently for sale through Bo-laget and is located in the slightly more bohemian part of Malmö city. So many lovely decorating features I'm not sure where to start. But if I had to choose just three, I'd go for the mosaic kitchen floor, blue panels and Ferm Living dotty wallpaper. Just so cute and fun! what about you?!

I love the yellow Fjäll Raven children's rucksack hanging in the hall too. A definite contender for my daughter's birthday pressie in a few weeks time.

Pretty in pink...and blue, and yellow....

Nothing brightens up my day like a little pastel. It just adds so much 'prettiness' to a room and at the same time makes a space look really calm. The Scandinavian design company, Muuto (meaning 'new perspective' in Finnish)  have teamed up with one of my incredibly talented neighbours from All the way to Paris and have created these wonderful pictures taken by Petra Bindel. I see that the some of the photo shoot took place in my neighbour's beautiful home which was sold recently. Sorry boys,  but there's no stopping pink this season.

 Our One King's Lane Sale was a huge success but we did have a couple of items left at the end.  I have been holding onto them because I love them but after a MASSIVE office cleaning I decided to put these lamps for sale.   Description: pretty pressed glass lamps, lattice pattern, antiqued brass plated base, shades included.  Base: 7" Dia, 17" High.  Shade:  15"L x 10" D x 10"H. Our 'By Invitation' subject this month is Thoughts of October.  I'm afraid that no humorous connotations of this particular month sprung to mind so, it's just pretty pictures of a time of year that is particularly close to my heart as our son and daughter-in-law got married in October 2008 and was the most wonderful day and a beautiful time of year to get married.

Hej hej! Hope you all had a lovely weekend. Do you know what I did? Bought my first Christmas present (eeek did I just mention the C word?!) - yes really! And I'm not even an organised person. I have a 4 and 2 year old and I promised myself not to have another December like the last one so this year I'm going to buy my pressies from online shops  - like my wonderful sponsors - L'Affiche Moderne  and LET LIV.
